Our mission is to provide high quality olive oil from the region of msaken where our family has been producing olive oil for over 200 years. While growing our company, we are also committed to values such as passion, honesty, and excellence we believe are essential to a successful business.
In 1975, our brother nabil hamouda, inherited a small olive grove in the town of Msaken - an ancient city in the north of Tunisia, renowned for its production of exceptional olive oils. That grove was the sole source of the family olive oil consumption. The grove grew slowly through the years and it was passed from generation to another.
In 1939, the grand father, was born in the family's grove that later inherited part of it. A man passionate about his business and his family, grand father continued the family's tradition of growing olive trees and producing the finest olive oil. He spent months on the farm pruning the trees, ploughing the land, and preparing the annual harvest with the utmost care. He picked the finest master artisans in the region to assist the family in performing all phases of harvest and production. He was well regarded as an olive oil expert who personally selected the blend of olives and tested the extracted oil. His expertise and dedication made the family business one of the most respected producer of high quality olive oil in the region of Msaken.
Today, olive cultivation and oil pressing occupies a prominent place in the family traditions.Our customer base expanded as a new family generation began to take control of parts of the operations and management. In the mid 90's the youssef sons began to take interest in providing olive oil to national resellers. Since then the demand grew and a decision has been made to buy olives from local farmers in the region before harvest time to meet the demand. This ensured the control at early stage of picking the olives. At the same time, it brought a high financial risk as it relates to estimating the yield while olives are still on trees. This operation requires special skills that can be only developed by years of experance perfected this operation and became an expert in the region. Those skills have been passed to the sons that assumed more control over the business operations and management.After years of providing olive oil locally and regionally, the company achieved recognition in the industry for consistently providing the highest quality olive oil to its clients. Building on this success, we started selling oil to Tunisian companies that export olive oil to international markets such as the United States of America, the European Union, and the Middle East.
Over the last few years, we have been investigating the idea of directly providing our olive oil to the international market. We have added and modernized equipments in the mill. Also, we have built local alliances with local farmers that share the same traditions and standards of high quality olive oil. Now, we are ready and eager to take four generations of family commitment to olive trees and oil to the next level and offer our olive oil to international buyers.The family owns and operates olive mill in the town of Msaken, more precisely at the edge of the Carthaginian grove of delicio. In our olive production, we have successfully combined high technology in olive production with the best of tradition that has been passed down from father to son ever since.
